Now for sale online at Dolphin Galleries! Boxed-In No.2. Humans consider themselves to be ranked among the most intelligent of living creatures and therefore maintain that of all species they themselves possess the greatest potential. If this is true, it is precisely because we possess the most active imaginations. Man, as Gaston Bachelard observed, is an imagining being, and imagination is the highest form of intelligence. We celebrate imagination in children, but think nothing of the fact that it often wastes away in adults.

The Artist
Todd Stuart
Todd Stuart is an Australian contemporary sculptor who works in three materials that ask for three different crafts: stainless steel polished to a mirror, silicon bronze finished in patina, and carved stone. The work runs from pieces that sit on a table to pieces taller than a doorway, and almost all of it is signed and made in small limited editions.
