Encouragement 2 expands on the theme of mentorship with dramatic scale. Two dark bronze figures ascend a pair of intertwining golden ropes that rise in a helix from a coiled base. The upper figure leads the way, looking back to guide the one below, while the lower figure reaches upward, inspired by the path being forged ahead.
This monumental sculpture captures the beautiful rhythm of guidance and growth. The intertwining ropes suggest that our paths are inextricably linked—that the success of the mentor is tied to the student, and the student's rise is the mentor's greatest achievement.
