Now for sale online at Dolphin Galleries! Time Catcher. In Time Catcher Stuart reforges a fraught temporality, while asking why the incrementally measured time conceived in Western tradition stands opposed to the ever pressing dictates of our will. In doing so, the cogs and dials that underlie the human condition are invested with an urgent materiality. Bound by a calculating clockwork conception of the nature of time, an all too human struggle sees us rising up to reach beyond ourselves.

The Artist
Todd Stuart
Todd Stuart is an Australian contemporary sculptor who works in three materials that ask for three different crafts: stainless steel polished to a mirror, silicon bronze finished in patina, and carved stone. The work runs from pieces that sit on a table to pieces taller than a doorway, and almost all of it is signed and made in small limited editions.
