Now for sale online at Dolphin Galleries! Dreamer’s Hands. In an essay on the phenomenology of work and play, psychologist and author Joanne Stroud observes that ‘The two most expressive features of the human body are probably the eyes and hands’. Stroud goes on to quote philosopher Gaston Bachelard who writes that ‘The hand and not the eye alone has its own reveries and poetry’. Stuart marries these two organs of expression. Sentient eyes and hands conjoined both share in the experience of life.

The Artist
Todd Stuart
Todd Stuart is an Australian contemporary sculptor who works in three materials that ask for three different crafts: stainless steel polished to a mirror, silicon bronze finished in patina, and carved stone. The work runs from pieces that sit on a table to pieces taller than a doorway, and almost all of it is signed and made in small limited editions.
