Solid gold, not plated
Every piece is 14k or 18k gold all the way through — the same metal on the inside as the outside. Nothing here is plated, filled or vermeil.
Real diamonds, stones, and pearls
The stones are the real thing — diamonds, sapphires, tsavorites, pearls and turquoise, not glass or lookalikes. The count and total carat weight are printed in the specifications of every piece that has them.

Cut, set and finished by hand.
Each piece begins as solid 14k or 18k gold — never plate over base metal. Every seat is cut into that gold and every stone set into it one at a time, so nothing is glued and nothing is pressed into a mount. The finish is worked by hand too: sandblast, high polish, or two tones of gold brought together on the same piece. It is slower than the alternative, and it is the reason these are still being worn forty years on.

How big is it really?
Millimetres are on every page, and almost every piece is smaller than a photograph makes it look. The quickest way to picture it is against coins you already have on you. If you'd like the piece photographed on a hand or at the neck before you order, ask us and we'll send you exactly that.
Is a chain included?
No — a chain is not included. Pendants are sold on their own so you can pick the length and gauge you want. Tell us the piece and we'll tell you what suits it before you buy one.
Will it tarnish, and can I wear it in the ocean?
Solid 14k and 18k gold doesn't tarnish. Salt water and sunscreen won't hurt the metal, but they will dull the finish and loosen settings over time, so take it off before you swim and rinse it if you don't.
Will it arrive in time for the birthday?
Most pieces are delivered in about a week. Some are made to order, and those take one to four weeks. If you have a specific date, tell us the date — we'll tell you honestly whether it can be made in time rather than let you find out at the end.
Is it made in Hawaii?
The designs are drawn on Oahu — Denny Wong Designs is based in Honolulu — and the pieces themselves are made at a number of locations worldwide. What you're buying is the design and the gold it's cut from, and we'd rather say that plainly than let you assume otherwise.
What if I open the box and it isn't right?
Tell us within 7 days of delivery and you can send it back for a full refund, as long as it's unused, in its original packaging, with tags on. Return shipping is yours to pay. If it turns up damaged, or it's the wrong piece, or it never arrives, that's on us — we replace or refund it. Email Steve@dolphingalleries.com.
Can I pay for it over time?
Shop Pay Installments is at checkout. Under $1,000 it splits into interest-free payments; above that it runs as a 3, 6 or 12-month plan at 15% APR.
