Description

Ideally paired together with "Life of the Party", these serigraphs are examples of the oil sketches that Arvid completes as the preliminary step of an oil painting.

Like a winemaker building the solid foundation of the next vintage by toiling in the vineyard, Arvid uses a natural sepia tone palette of burnt umber, yellow ochre and white to hone and correct the composition before the true colors are laid in.

Thomas Arvid insists that the best thing about travel is coming home. The foundation laid at home by his wife and two young sons gives him the freedom to explore and build his work, and his passions, for art and wine.
