The magic happens when you let go.
Taking a Chance freezes the electrifying moment of release. Three dark bronze figures occupy a spiraling helix of golden rope—at the summit, one figure launches into space, arms extended in a graceful dive toward the unknown. Below, others still cling to the ropes, watching, perhaps gathering courage for their own leap.
This sculpture captures the entire spectrum of risk-taking in a single vertical composition. The figure who has jumped represents that breathtaking instant when security falls away and possibility takes over. Those still climbing represent the preparation, the gathering of nerve, the decision to ascend toward a moment of truth.
Tolla Inbar's intertwined rope design creates a DNA-like double helix—a fitting metaphor for the fundamental human drive to explore, to risk, to discover what lies beyond the familiar. The sculpture celebrates everyone who has ever taken a leap of faith.
