I've run this gallery for over fifty years now, since a small shop on Front Street in Lahaina back in 1976, and the outdoor and marine pieces are still the ones I look at longest — that eye comes from my own years sailing and diving these waters. This nature wall art room holds 161 pieces from four painters: Vicente Romero, Anne Packard, Gantner, and Petras Lukosius. None of them paint the outdoors the same way.

What you're actually buying

Romero's 81 pieces are limited-edition giclées, and the process is worth knowing before you order one. Each canvas is hand-signed on the front with a paintbrush, then signed and numbered again on the back, with a certificate of authenticity signed by Romero himself; the paper editions are printed on German Hahnemühle stock and signed in pencil. Packard's 58 coastal scenes — a dory beached on a cloudy day, dunes under open light — ship as canvas giclées in a tube, or boxed flat for the paper-on-board pieces. Gantner's 18 oil-based landscapes and Lukosius's four paintings round out the room; every one of Lukosius's four here is already down to a single copy.

Prices run $1,200 to $7,350, median $1,599. A few of Packard's pieces here — "Garden Panorama" and "Cape Light House" — are also down to their last copy.
