Jackie Ellens's originals are consistent in a specific way: seven canvases, all in the same narrow price band, and none of them a reproduction. I don't have a long story to give you about her training or her career — what I can give you is exactly what's here and what it costs.

Originals, not reproductions

Everything in this collection is tagged as an original — a single canvas, no print run behind it, no giclée version to fall back on once the one you want sells. Four of the seven are 40 by 40 or 48 by 36 inches, priced at $2,800; two more are 48 by 48 at $2,925. The 40-by-40s and 48-by-48s are square formats, the 48-by-36 is a landscape — worth knowing before you measure a wall. One of the seven listed here came out of a client commission we handled directly with her — it's titled "Commission" for that reason — and that particular canvas is already spoken for, though it's proof we've handled commission work with her before.

What's here now

Six of the seven are down to their last copy — once one of these sells, it's gone; there's no second casting or reprint the way there might be with an edition piece. Prices across the collection run $2,800 to $3,900, with most of what's currently available sitting at the $2,800 mark. Buy one of these and you own the only version of it that exists.
